I just read you are investigating gm suvs for defective gas gauges. I have a year 2000 chevy silverado and the gas gauge has read erroneously for the past six or seven years. I have run out of gas several times, but have never had the problem repaired because the dealer wants to charge me an absurd amount. I believe its a design flaw they should repair for free. I would recommend you expand your investigation to…

2001 chevy silverado low fuel light not working. Low fuel light stays on even when tank is full. Fuel needle moves constantly from full to empty, regardless of amount of gas in tank. Ran out of gas twice due to this problem. How is this not a recall? *tr

Fuel gauge does not work properly, it shows random fuel amounts. It has left me out of gas several times. All my family drives silverados and gmc sierra, and all have the same problem. This is very dangerous, what if i run out of fuel on the high and my truck stalls and causes an accident. *tr

I have a 2005 chevy silverado with 38,000 miles on it. The solenoid evap vent went an it cost me 171.00 dollars to replace. Turns out that they modified this part because the engine light came on. I did a search on the internet an it turns out that this is a common problem with these trucks. I think chevy should replace this for free. *tr
