My wife complained the brakes felt like they had air in the lines and stopping was difficult. When i went to bleed them i found that the front steel line was completely rotted and had a pinhole sized failure. I had a mechanic replace the lines and he was surprised at the level of corrosion all over the underside of this vehicle. The outer body is in perfect condition giving a false impression of being in good shape.

For about 4 months we have been having a problem with this truck stopping at low speeds. It seems like the antilock brake kicks in, but the pavement is dry and the truck just keeps going, the brake pedal goes down and you pray that you will stop before you hit something or someone! After this happened to us 3 or 4 times we learned to be very cautious on the road and slowed way down before coming to a stop so we…

Several months later, in december of 2010, both brake lines running from master cylinder to abs unit ruptured when backing out of my driveway.
