Takata recall - the notice says 12/27/17 is the last day to file for financial reimbursement for damages. That date is rapidly approaching and the recall status is still at a standstill, despite passing the august deadline. Shouldn't the 12/27/17 date be extended if the parts aren't available to replace the current air bags?

Regarding the takata recall, i've called the dealership several times and i was most recently told that general motors has not done anything to remedy the situation. The recall has been in effect for more than a year.

No incidents or accidents. The recall/fix is taking too long. Since takata has filed chapter 11, they are obviously washing their hands of responsibility. As incidents do occur, there will be legal repercussions to gm. Hopefully gm will find a solution in a timely manner.

That was over 2 years ago. Why is no remedy available? Is this dangerous?
