Takata recall--i called (11/7/17) my chevy dealership as soon as i received the "important legal notice for owners of vehicles with takata airbag inflators" to schedule an appointment per instruction on postcard. My chevy dealer says the parts to repair the airbags are not available yet. The original recall letter came out in 2016. I am concerned as the postcard mentions personal injury or death. My dash on my 2010 chevrolet silverado 1500 is cracked in multiple places, including over the passenger airbag and instrument cluster. Over the instrument cluster there is now a 6 inch wide hole which leaves electrical components exposed. This is a large safety issue and i would like to have a factory replacement since this a widely known defect by gm.
