The contact also indicated that the brake lines prematurely fractured. Vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000. There were two incidents with the 2006 silverado and both related to the steel brake lines. A) during inner city driving, the rear brakes failed.
