The dash has cracked from the passenger side airbag to the instrument cluster directly in front of the driver. An accident could send debris into the drivers face or puncture the airbag upon deployment.

The dash is cracked in 3 places, once over the instrument cluster and twice near the passenger side airbag. The surrounding plastic is very brittle. The initial cracks happened while the vehicle was moving. This is a very common problem with similar gm dashes. This is a safety hazard. Should the passenger side airbag deploy, the dash would essentially become shrapnel.

The interior dash panel on my silverado 1500, 4x4, crew cab has cracked behind the instrument cluster causing a loud rattle when going over bumps.
